Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doctore defends well and Lee ends up having to push Doctore into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doctore sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat. Doctore wants to counter the offense by Lee and move into the clinch position. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
