We've been hearing reports that Ruiz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ruiz shoots in looking for a takedown. Pierce tries to sprawl out of it but Ruiz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pierce manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
