Hall shoots in but Jarpin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jarpin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jarpin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jarpin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Jarpin cracks Hall with an elbow. That is naaassty.
You can see the frustration on Hall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hall is trying to get back to half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jarpin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hall misses with a strike from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hall throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Jarpin clinches up with Hall and pushes him back against the cage.
Jarpin tries to stall but Hall uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Hall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hall fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jarpin avoids it really well and circles away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Austin Jarpin.

Apollo throws a pinpoint strike between Dalenger's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Dalenger crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Apollo scores a great knockout victory!

Hooper has hold of Todayashi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Todayashi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hooper cranks the arm and Todayashi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Todayashi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
