Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boxing Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jean Lucroy! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.

Lucroy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Man quickly recovers to half guard. Man is staying active underneath Lucroy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Man definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Man taking some punishment here, with Lucroy in his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lucroy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lucroy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lucroy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working. Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucroy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Man with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lucroy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lucroy trying to control from half guard but Man is working away. Man is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lucroy pulls his head out easily. Lucroy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lucroy scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lucroy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lucroy is nestled in close to Man, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lucroy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Man is rocked!

Koko comes to the cage accompanied by Aotearoa. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Tapu Koko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monty Don. Koko presses Don against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Don is trying to drag Koko to the mat but Koko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Don has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
