The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chamizo throws a leg kick but Adams checks it. Chamizo throws the kick towards the body but Adams avoids it. Adams checks a low kick from Chamizo. Adams was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Adams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Adams tries to pass to full mount but Chamizo defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chamizo wants to control but Adams is keeping busy.
Chamizo is concentrating on defense, preventing Adams from advancing position. Adams is trying to control the action in half guard but Chamizo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Adams is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Chamizo is defending well though. Adams let's go of the attempt for now. Adams has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Chamizo is in real trouble here. Adams gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? He catches Burger napping and manages to drive through into side control! Burger wants to control but Kamenev postures up. Kamenev trying to control the position but Burger is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kamenev has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kamenev wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Burger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Burger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kamenev on the ground. Kamenev with the ground and pound from mount. Burger is desperately trying to improve his position but Kamenev has a good base and remains in mount. Burger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Burger tries to get out of the position. Kamenev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kamenev sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kamenev mounts Burger! Really nice guard pass there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kamenev has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kamenev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kamenev wants to control from the top but Burger keeps moving. Kamenev passes into half guard. Kamenev is working for a kimura but Burger is defending it quite comfortably.

Hlynsson is badly hurt! Warrior pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hlynsson tries desperately to hold on but Warrior is relentless in his assault! As Hlynsson receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Warrior away and this one is in the books!

Hashempour lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Grimm blocks a jab. Grimm tries to bum rush Hashempour with a series of wild strikes but Hashempour uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hashempour connects with a stiff jab that staggers Grimm - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Sanchez is trying to push Modric away but Modric has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Modric lands with a light punch inside. Sanchez tries to circle away but Modric has him pinned against the cage. Modric is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's one minute gone in the round. Modric lands a shot to the body. I was talking to Modric's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Modric lands a shoulder strike. Modric breaks the clinch.
Modric slips under a jab from Sanchez. Modric throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sanchez avoids it. Modric uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sanchez. Sanchez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Ricardo Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Modric dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.
Modric quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Sanchez looks winded! Sanchez scores with a jab to the jaw. Modric connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Modric gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Modric throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Modric lands on the inside with an uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Modric. Modric lands a left hand.
Sanchez is rocked! Modric dips a shoulder and cracks Sanchez with a mighty uppercut! Sanchez falls back against the cage and Modric unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sanchez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Modric screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Benedetti lands a right hand that snaps the head of Li backwards. Li tries to land knees in the clinch but Benedetti avoids the damage to the body. A quick uppercut on the inside from Benedetti. Benedetti working some nice short punches in the clinch. Benedetti blocks the elbow strike.
Li definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Li pushes off an throws an elbow but Benedetti leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Benedetti avoiding damage as Li throws knees to the body.

Li's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Li throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
