The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badger takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Badger takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Benoit has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A good leg kick by Benoit. Benoit lands with a nice body kick. Badger throws a leg kick and Benoit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Benoit connects with a solid leg kick. Benoit moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Benoit clobbers Badger with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Badger is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Badger takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Benoit drops Badger with a straight right hand, right on the button! Benoit follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Christ Benoit! During a confident post fight interview, Christ Benoit thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nurminen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shashi clinches up with Nurminen and pushes him back against the cage. Shashi pulls Nurminen into guard.

Nurminen trying to control the position from guard on top but Shashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nurminen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Nurminen chips away with some ground and pound. Nurminen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nurminen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nurminen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shashi's head.

Nurminen slips a nice elbow through Shashi's hands, connecting with Shashi's forehead. Nurminen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shashi is refusing to be controlled, as Nurminen sits in half guard. Shashi manages to get to full guard.

Shashi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nurminen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Nurminen lands a big shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shashi throws a sloppy head kick letting Nurminen counter with a right hand. Shashi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nurminen throws out the jab. Shashi tries to close the distance and clinch but Nurminen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shashi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shashi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nurminen sizes up Shashi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cajetan Shashi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nurminen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shashi dives in for a single leg takedown but Nurminen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kebab Nurminen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cajetan Shashi. A left lands for Nurminen. Shashi misses with a head kick.
Nurminen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Shashi throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nurminen clinches up with Shashi and pushes him back against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Nurminen.

Shashi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nurminen pulls his leg out and moves away.

Nurminen misses the jab. As Nurminen backs off Shashi throws a huge counter combo but Nurminen manages to avoid it all. That kick from Nurminen tenderised Shashi's leg. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nurminen cracks Shashi with a solid left hand. Nurminen distracts Shashi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Nurminen slips nicely into half guard. Nurminen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Nurminen slips a nice elbow through Shashi's hands, connecting with Shashi's forehead. Nurminen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Shashi is still in real trouble! Can Nurminen finish him?

Shashi seems to have recovered his senses. Nurminen lands an elbow. Nurminen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shashi keeps working. Nurminen scoring with punches from side control. Kebab Nurminen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shashi can't do much from the bottom here. Shashi is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nurminen is looking to take a break and control but Shashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nurminen scores with a couple of short elbows. The referee asks Nurminen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nurminen prefers to stall for the moment though. Shashi tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Kebab Nurminen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nurminen working the body and head with strikes. Shashi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cajetan Shashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nurminen happy to just control the position for now. Nurminen wants to control but Shashi is keeping him busy. Nurminen cracks Shashi with an elbow. That is naaassty.
And that's the end of the fight! Kebab Nurminen showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nurminen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Wiremu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Luna.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wiremu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Luna has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wiremu. A slow jab from Luna misses its intended target. Wiremu avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Luna backs away, Wiremu returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. A big right from Wiremu misses. Wiremu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wiremu throws a sloppy head kick and Luna moves out of range easily. Wiremu ducks under a wild hook from Luna. Luna just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromWiremu. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wiremu stuns Luna with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wiremu takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Wiremu dodges the punch combination from Luna.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aloysius Wiremu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Antonio Luna's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Luna misses with a few strikes there.
Luna moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Luna misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wiremu.
Luna doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wiremu lands with a kick to the temple. Luna shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Luna misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Luna has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wiremu. Luna lands a nice shot to the body.

Luna's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Luna throws a jab when Wiremu was well out of range. I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thriller by Michael Jackson. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie slips a straight right by Ster. Gracie dodges the punch combination from Ster.
Ster throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ster throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A little feinted left hand from Gracie on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Ster jabs at Gracie's body. Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight. Gracie takes a swing at Ster's ribcage but misses. A nice side step and Ster releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Ster sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Ster drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. That's four minutes gone in the round. Bulletzowich lands a body shot. Privilege is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bulletzowich tries to throw a body punch but Privilege avoids it by throwing Bulletzowich back against the cage. Bulletzowich lands on the inside with an uppercut. Bulletzowich blocking some punches.
Bulletzowich breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bulletzowich misses with an uppercut. Privilege saw that one coming. Bulletzowich looks to land a combination but Privilege avoids it well. Privilege throws a hook but Bulletzowich avoids it easily. Bulletzowich lands a really nice looking cross but Privilege seems unphased.
Bulletzowich connects with a body shot. Privilege lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Sloppy strikes from Bulletzowich. Those never looked like landing. Bulletzowich connects with a good right hand that stumbles Privilege. Privilege circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Privilege swings widly with a right hand
and Privilege takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Boris Bulletzowich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bulletzowich is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Bulletzowich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Privilege tries to avoid it but Bulletzowich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Privilege to the ground. Privilege escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boris Bulletzowich. Well Bulletzowich has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
