Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peanut Dooley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dooley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ortiz to the mat! Ortiz manages to get full guard. Dooley throws a big right hand that misses. Dooley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ortiz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dooley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ortiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dooley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dooley is trying to control but can't.
Nice strikes from Ortiz there. Ortiz prevents Dooley from improving his position. Dooley makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dooley.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dooley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ortiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz trying to control but Dooley is working from the bottom. Ortiz is looking to work some ground and pound but Dooley has wrist control. Dooley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ortiz working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dooley's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dooley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ortiz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ortiz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Ortiz lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ortiz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dooley is rocked! It looks like Peanut Dooley has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz loads up on a big left hand. Dooley felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Ortiz looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dooley can't hide his disappointment, as Ortiz celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Otto Ortiz! Otto Ortiz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wee Ning! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.

Ning looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Ning on the wrong end of a nice jab. Ning scores with a takedown into Jack's guard. Ning prevents Jack from getting back to his feet. Ning pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jack is keeping the position for now. Ning stands up over Jack, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack wants to stand but Ning is controlling the position. Jack working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ning trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ning controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ning has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ning sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jack's guard. Ning with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ning wants to take a breather but Jack is having none of it. Ning not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jack is not content to let Ning control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ning not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ning is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ning working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ning missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ning. Ning controlling the pace. Ning is looking for a kimura here.

Ning lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jack tries to get out of the position. Ning frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jack is breathing heavily. Ning can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jack is looking to escape. Ning raining down hammerfists from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ning scoring with strikes but Jack is staying in there. It looks like Touney Jack has been cut. Ning sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wee Ning dominated that round. The cut man is working on Touney Jack's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Nice takedown defense from Jack. No joy for Ning on that attempt. Ning throws a jab when Jack was well out of range. Ning tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jack swivels and escapes. Ning looks for a takedown but Jack sprawls well. Touney Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wee Ning. Ning tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jack was well out of range. Poor timing from Ning. Ning avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Poor timing from Jack. Jack lands a left and a right that send Ning crashing to the mat, dazed. Jack thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Ning is rocked! It looks like Wee Ning has been cut. Jack doesn't manage to clinch there - Ning circles away.
Ning is still on wobbly legs! Can Jack finish him? Jack tries to close the distance and clinch but Ning swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jack closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Ning out cold! Ning corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Touney Jack! After winning the bout, Touney Jack thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
