The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otakar Jr throws a leg kick which misses Alfonso's front leg but catches the back leg as Alfonso tries to avoid it. Sloppy strikes from Otakar Jr. Those never looked like landing. Alfonso gets tackled into the cage by Otakar Jr. Otakar Jr maintains the clinch. Otakar Jr turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Otakar Jr manages to end up in side control. Alfonso sneaks out the side door and pushes Otakar Jr away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A slapping leg kick lands for Alfonso.
Otakar Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Otakar Jr wants to control from the top but Alfonso keeps moving. Otakar Jr gets to his feet - Alfonso follows without any prompting. Otakar Jr has closed the distance and engaged Alfonso in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pereyra. Johnson shoots and misses and Pereyra counters with a leg kick. Pereyra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pereyra is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Pereyra defending well as Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Pereyra slips under a jab. Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pereyra moves into the clinch. Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Pereyra keeps him there for the moment. Pereyra pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pereyra wants it to stay on the feet. Pereyra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pereyra tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Johnson tries to escape but Pereyra is in control.
