The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Powers.
Mcbasketball closes the distance but Powers moves to the side

and Powers counters with a shoot takedown. Mcbasketball fights it but they end up in guard.
Mcbasketball has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at EFC Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mcbasketball is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Powers is aware though and is defending well.

Powers drops back looking for a leg! Mcbasketball is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mcbasketball manages to kick Powers off! Powers jumps back into Mcbasketball's guard.
Mcbasketball is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Mcbasketball is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Powers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mcbasketball.

Kimber leaves Shimada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kimber throws a low kick but Shimada avoids it.
Shimada is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kimber sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

De Janeiro tries to lock up and control but Matthison gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Matthison is trying to take his opponent's back.

Matthison throws a sloppy strike and De Janeiro uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and De Janeiro has ended up in Matthison's guard.
Matthison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Matthison is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! De Janeiro lets go of the hold and Matthison can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Taric felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The Hun throws a body shot but no joy.
The Hun steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rider. That one must have hurt.
The Hun throws a hook but Rider avoids it easily.
Rider lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The Hun is breathing heavily.

Rider cracks The Hun with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! The Hun looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rider finish him?
It looks like Attila The Hun has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Hun wants to stay close but Rider steps back to make room for something. The Hun seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Rider and The Hun drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
