The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pwent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Vincentius fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pwent, pushing him back against the cage.
Vincentius jumps guard but Pwent stands there with Vincentius around his waist. Vincentius gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pwent working aggressively here.

Vincentius manages to pull guard.
Vincentius keeping moving, preventing Pwent from controlling successfully.

Pwent drops back looking for a leg! Vincentius is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vincentius manages to kick Pwent off! Pwent jumps back into Vincentius's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vincentius can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vincentius thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Pwent has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Vincentius tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pwent throws an elbow that misses. Vincentius uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pwent's guard. Nice move by Vincentius!

Vincentius got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pwent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vincentius has managed to get both his arms back between Pwent's legs - danger averted.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pwent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vincentius defends well.

I would just about give that final round to Vincent Vincentius.

Diego clinches with his opponent.
Steve tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diego smiles and moves away.
Steve shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diego pinned against the cage. Diego gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diego changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Steve tries to clinch there but Diego circles away.
Diego shoots in for a double leg but Steve sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steve tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Diego manages to circle out of the way.

Diego gets a clinch.
Diego gets underhooks to prevent Steve's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scooter Steve. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steve has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diego is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Diego manages to break the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Steve has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Diego is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Steve.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diego tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Steve pushes Diego away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Diego gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Diego jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Steve is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Steve and Diego has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Fisher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steve tries to avoid it but Fisher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steve to the ground. Steve escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Steve tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As Fisher backs off Steve throws a huge counter combo but Fisher manages to avoid it all.
Fisher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steve sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fisher somewhat.
