The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damato moves into the clinch successfully.
Damato keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Johnson's efforts to push away. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson fails with the takedown and Damato counters with a two punch combo. Damato darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Damato into the cage. Damato manages to break the clinch.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Damato, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Damato against the cage but Damato circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Damato lands with a nice body punch. Damato uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Johnson. Damato appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Damato wants to clinch.

Johnson tries to break the clinch but Damato is controlling the position. Damato displaying some good clinch control by pressing Johnson up against the cage. Johnson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A frustrated look appears on Johnson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Damato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A momentary lapse in concentration from Damato enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Damato manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Damato wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it. Damato is looking to cinch up a triangle. Johnson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Damato's body to avoid the submission. Damato has instead reached around Johnson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Damato arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

McNuggets has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Vaugn is landing a low percentage of strikes. McNuggets cracks Vaugn with a good jab. Vaugn drives through and clinches with McNuggets against the cage.

McNuggets lands a left and a right that send Vaugn crashing to the mat, dazed. McNuggets thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Vaugn is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McNuggets cracks Vaugn with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vaugn tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but McNuggets pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vaugn is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

A low kick from Billings lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and O Madsen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from O Madsen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A jab from Billings does it's job there. We've been hearing reports that O Madsen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasamsun shoots in and drives through. Duterte sprawls well. Kasamsun closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duterte quickly recovers to half guard. Duterte wants to get back to his feet. Kasamsun not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ground and pound from Kasamsun. Duterte wants to get back to his feet but Kasamsun drags him back down. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kasamsun working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Duterte bucks up and tries to throw Kasamsun off but instead Kasamsun has got his back! Duterte is trying to get back to his feet but Kasamsun has full control of the position and if anything, Duterte has just worked his way into a worse spot. Kasamsun scores with punches from the back.
Duterte is rocked! Kasamsun has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kasamsun cracks Duterte with a big right hand from the back mount! Duterte immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Kasamsun takes this one by TKO!
