The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tall Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raw shoots in and drives through. Guy sprawls well.

Cloudhaze lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kirin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jones to the canvas! Jones doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kirin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nwaoge stuffs the takedown attempt from Vurris. Vurris gets slowly back to his feet.
Vurris definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vurris closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vurris lands in his opponent's guard.

Vurris drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nwaoge manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vurris has Nwaoge in his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vurris manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nwaoge manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nwaoge looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Vurris puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Vurris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nwaoge keeps working.
Nwaoge tries to get to full guard but Vurris has control of the leg.
Nwaoge looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nwaoge is staying active underneath Vurris, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nwaoge tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Vurris has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Vurris thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Nwaoge tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nwaoge bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vurris is on top in guard.

Vurris lands a couple of elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vurris wants to pass the guard but Nwaoge is keeping the position.
Nwaoge wants to sweep but no luck.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vurris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nwaoge works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Nwaoge is looking for a triangle but Vurris pushes his legs off easily.
Nwaoge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vurris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vurris is looking to work some ground and pound but Nwaoge has wrist control.

Vurris wants to pass to mount but Nwaoge is defending the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vurris stalling away here and it's allowed Nwaoge to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Vurris working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nwaoge's head.
Vurris throws a big right hand that misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Vurris will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nwaoge lands a left and a right that send Vurris crashing to the mat, dazed. Nwaoge thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Vern Vurris has been cut.
Nwaoge shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Vurris appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Vurris gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nwaoge counters with a series of strikes. Vurris will be more careful next time no doubt.
Nwaoge throws a right and a left that Vurris avoids nicely.
Medzavi Nwaoge seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vurris gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Vurris tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Nwaoge is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Vurris buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Vurris!! Vurris is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Nwaoge throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Medzavi Nwaoge!
Medzavi Nwaoge seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
