Laurinaitis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Laurinaitis throws a strike but Thireloth rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Laurinaitis can't keep his opponent in guard - Thireloth advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Thireloth is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Thireloth seems to be working for a kimura but Laurinaitis defends the submission attempt.
Laurinaitis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thireloth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shredder missing with a left hand there. Slash was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Slash misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Slash avoids the body shot from Shredder.
Shredder tries to clinch up but Slash circles away and keeps his distance.

Slash gets tackled into the cage by Shredder. Shredder maintains the clinch.

Shredder has hold of one of Slash's legs. Slash is fighting the takedown attempt but Shredder gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Shredder is posturing up here but Slash has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Shredder tries to roll out but it's too tight and Shredder has to tap! Slick submission there by Slash!
