Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jacko Dawson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Einar Kyrvänsyylä! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyrvänsyylä jabs at Dawson's body. Dawson moves in looking to clinch but Kyrvänsyylä pushes him off. Dawson connects with a solid leg kick. A combination from Kyrvänsyylä does no damage. Kyrvänsyylä lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Dawson darts in trying to clinch and Kyrvänsyylä counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fight stays on the outside here - Dawson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kyrvänsyylä circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kyrvänsyylä bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dawson's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kyrvänsyylä swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dawson doesn't manage to clinch there - Kyrvänsyylä circles away.

Kyrvänsyylä thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dawson to his feet! Dawson is in big trouble! Dawson wants to clinch up but Kyrvänsyylä keeps it at a distance. Kyrvänsyylä cracks Dawson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dawson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away can Kyrvänsyylä finish him?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swahn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Swahn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Graffs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Oke Swahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Swahn misses the target. Graff moves out of range as Swahn strikes. Swahn cracks Graff with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Graff is rocked! Graff leaves his chin hanging out and Swahn seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Graff crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roll walks into a straight right hand from Turcotte. Turcotte drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Roll works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Turcotte tries to clinch but Roll is having none of it. Roll jabs Turcotte right on the nose. Turcotte blinks but takes it well. Roll scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Roll throws the left hand but Turcotte avoids the punch easily. Turcotte throws a nice looking combination but Roll bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roll throws a jab but it's blocked by Turcotte. Turcotte seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Roll doesn't manage to clinch there - Turcotte circles away.
Roll lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Roll pushing out the jab but it's not landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roll forces Turcotte back against the cage and clinches. Roll swings wildly with an uppercut but Turcotte uses good head movement to avoid it. Turcotte swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roll throws a right hand that Turcotte ducks under and follows up with a left that Turcotte also avoids with ease. Roll takes a body punch but keeps moving. Roll's coach down at FF Forever was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Roll's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Roll has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Roll scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turcotte doesn't seem bothered though. Turcotte catches Roll with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Roll swings for the body but Turcotte moves out of range.

Turcotte displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Roll throws out the jab. Turcotte tries to counter by clinching up but Roll breaks away and moves out of range. Turcotte ducks under a wild hook from Roll. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Roll takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fighters circling - Roll throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Roll throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turcotte stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Turcotte waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roll. Turcotte uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Roll. Jacques Turcotte has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Turcotte connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Roll momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight! Rokken Roll comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Mannheim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Mannheim leaves Panda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mannheim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mannheim stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Mannheim punishes Panda's body with a nice straight punch. Mannheim scores with a crisp jab that stopped Panda in his tracks. Mannheim connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Panda momentarily.

Mannheim has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Panda with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mannheim to score with a decent uppercut. Mannheim is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Mannheim scores with a hook to the body. Panda takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Panda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Mannheim thuds his right hand into Panda's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Panda drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Panda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mannheim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Panda is looking to take a break and control but Mannheim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mannheim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
