and Bowser makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

As Cowan backs off Bowser throws a huge counter combo but Cowan manages to avoid it all.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bowser takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Bowser is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cowan rather than just go for the knockout.

Bowser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bowser needs to keep his hands up - Cowan had a free shot at his head there.
The crowd cheers as Cowan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bowser doesn't seem phased though.
Leon Bowser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bowser on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cowan dodges the punch combination from Bowser.
Cowan throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Bowser's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Cowan dives in looking to finish as Bowser flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Cowan's strikes! Cowan is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Bowser's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Bowser was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

A relieved looking Mickey Cowan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Funaki lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Keenan Jr up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Funaki from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Keenan Jr's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

A very excited looking Masa Funaki rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
