3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gengis Kan! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows BJ to score an easy takedown into full guard. BJ might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kan wants to stand and escape but BJ is having none of it. Kan looking for a guillotine here but BJ defends easily.
Kan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. BJ is not content to let Kan control the position. Kan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. BJ is looking to control Kan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can BJ avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kan wants to control but BJ is keeping him busy. Kan looks to land a strike but BJ avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Kan is staying active underneath BJ, who seems content to just control the action from this position. BJ seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pie tries to bum rush Camel with a series of wild strikes but Camel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Camel to the mat! Camel manages to get full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Camel holds on and takes a little breather. Pie won't allow Camel to sweep him here. Pie is looking to stand up but Camel won't let him. Pie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Pie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Camel is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Camel prevents Pie from moving into mount.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Archangel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sweet stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Archangel misses with a double jab.
Archangel dives in and grabs Sweet's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sweet pushes down on Archangel's head and hops out. Archangel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sweet is fending him off so far but Archangel persists. Nope, Sweet circles away and we're back to standing. Sweet stuns Archangel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sweet lands with a nice body punch. Nice straight punches there by Sweet. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sweet. Archangel lands a front kick. Archangel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Good work there from Sweet! Archangel tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sweet presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Archangel feints and as Sweet raises his hands in defense, Archangel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Archangel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sweet swivels though and keeps the full guard. Archangel stands and steps away. Sweet gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Archangel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Topps throws a body punch but Kerns moves out of range. Topps scores with a sloppy right hand. Kerns should have avoided that one. Topps throws a hook to the side of Kerns's head but Kerns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kerns scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kerns throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kerns throws a sloppy head kick and Topps moves out of range easily. Topps jabs at Kerns's body. Kerns throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Topps lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kerns bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kerns throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Topps looks gassed! Topps pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

The fighters circling - Topps throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Topps is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kerns sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Topps is trying to force a seperation but Kerns has the dominant position. Topps blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Topps takes a shot to the head. Kerns struggles to land a body shot inside as Topps controls his hands.
