The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neer tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neer to the ground. Neer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith connects with a leg kick.
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Neer.
Despite the aggression on Smith's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Smith looks for the body kick but Neer saw that one coming.
Smith tries to clinch but Neer is having none of it.
Neer shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Neer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith goes for a double leg but Neer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Neer continues to drive forward.

Demetrio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Demetrio cracks Zabcdef on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Zabcdef falls backwards against the cage. Demetrio follows up with more strikes that drop Zabcdef to his knees. Demetrio keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Zabcdef! This one is all over!

After the fight, Jonas Demetrio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Schrudinger gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Schrudinger apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Schrudinger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Zvonimir Galinskis really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 179.8, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Mage Knight was cancelled.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Bisset (ranked 5682 p4p, 4955 weight class) and Senor Submission (ranked 620 p4p, 585 weight class). Micheal Bisset had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Senor Submission has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Micheal Bisset's chin.
