And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turn tries to clinch but Dick moves away
and Dick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dick's coach down at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dick's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Turn throws a lazy uppercut

and Dick counters with a nice right hand that sends Turn toppling to the canvas! Turn scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dick finish him?!
It looks like King Turn has been cut.
Turn is looking to clinch but Dick is avoiding it.
Turn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dick as he jumps to the side.
Dick keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turn .
Dick jabbing away but nothing is landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dick!
Turn working the strikes but Dick uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dick's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turn is keen to just control but Dick is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turn thows a huge punch but Dick dodges it nicely.
Dick is looking to improve his position.
Dick is staying active underneath Turn , who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Turn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Turn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Turn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Turn is trying to control the action in half guard but Dick is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dick is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Turn prevents Dick from improving his position.
Dick desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Turn is pressing down on Dick's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dick is holding on for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Turn wants to clinch but Dick slips to the side
and Dick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dick drops Turn with a big left hand! Turn is injured, injured bad! Dick jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Needle Dick!
Needle Dick was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
