The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duyanas keeps the fight on the outside.
Duyanas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Duyanas loads up on a big right hand but Krutainis slips the punch.
Duyanas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Krutainis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duyanas.
Krutainis is looking for a counter combo.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Duyanas!
Krutainis takes one to the side of the head.

Duyanas closes the distance and clinches.
Duyanas tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Duyanas breaks the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Duyanas lands an impressive looking overhand right. Krutainis doesn't seem phased though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Duyanas gets control of Krutainis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Duyanas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Duyanas pushes Krutainis off, looking to escape but Krutainis dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Duyanas is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Romero wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Ekwall has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ekwall leaves Shortman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown attempt by Shortman or perhaps it was just good defense by Ekwall, which made it look bad.
Wes Ekwall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Shortman.
Ekwall lands a hook that stumbles Shortman back into the cage. Ekwall follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Shortman to the canvas! Ekwall pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Shortman has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
