The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reicht shoots for a double leg takedown but Kong sprawls well. He's pushed Reicht's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reicht fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kong, pushing him back against the cage.
Kong blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Reicht tries for a takedown. No joy.

Kong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reicht throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reicht's guard.

Reicht is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kong defends well.
Kong must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Reicht is trying to control the position but Kong postures up.

Kong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reicht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ladd shoots in looking for a takedown but Genov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ladd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
