Russ Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Mercenary lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smith doesn't seem phased though.
A telegraphed right hand from Mercenary misses the target.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mercenary is looking to counter punch.
Medieval Mercenary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mercenary seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
