The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Targaryen closes the distance and clinches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Dawkins. Those never looked like landing.
Karaev connects with a right hand. Dawkins shakes it off.
Dawkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dawkins throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dawkins gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

letting Dawkins counter with a right hand.
It looks like Andrey Karaev has been cut.

Dawkins's coach down at SMASH Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dawkins's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Karaev throws the left hand but Dawkins avoids the punch easily.
Karaev looks to land a right hand but Dawkins moved out of range.
Dawkins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Karaev.
Dawkins scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Karaev doesn't seem bothered though.

and Karaev counters with a nice right hand that sends Dawkins toppling to the canvas! Dawkins scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Karaev finish him?!

Karaev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dawkins ducks under a wild hook from Karaev.
Dawkins is aggressively charging in as Karaev backs up avoiding any damage. Karaev tosses out a jab and Dawkins runs right into it face first! Dawkins is out cold! Karaev dropped down on all fours and is barking in Dawkins's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrey Karaev!
Andrey Karaev decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Bravo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wei but Wei pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bravo is pushing down on Wei's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wei is fighting to maintain full guard but Bravo has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zhang Wei will probably get the nod.

Bich takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bich gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Phuc Dat Bich has been cut.

Bich has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nicodeme uses from the top position.
Nicodeme must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bich has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nicodeme can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nicodeme wanted to stand there but Bich had control of the position.

Bich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nicodeme doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nicodeme manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bich has his feet on Nicodeme's thighs here. He's pushed Nicodeme off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Nicodeme screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Phuc Dat Bich decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
