Side looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Side counters with a one-two to the body.

Beatdown throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Side counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Beatdown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice defenses there by Side.
An attempted straight right counter from Side misses the target.
Beatdown throws a lazy body kick
and Side connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A swing and a miss from Beatdown.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beatdown falls off balance throwing a combination
and Side counters with a crisp one two that drops Beatdown! Side thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Beatdown to his feet! Beatdown is in big trouble!
 Beatdown is rocked!
Beatdown switches off momentarily and Side cracks him with a monster right hand! Beatdown topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Side dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Side!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Iron Side!
Iron Side opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

Clay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thrawn moves away.
Thrawn slips a straight right by Clay.
Thrawn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thrawn connects with a nice looking jab.
Clay doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Thrawn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Thrawn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Clay. Clay circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Thrawn throws out a counter right but Clay avoids it with no problem.

Nice straight punches there by Clay. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Clay.

Thrawn takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A slow jab from Clay misses its intended target.
Clay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thrawn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Clay scrambles back to his feet.
