The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tree misses with a head kick.

Sirovica takes the fight into the clinch.
Sirovica is trying to drag Tree to the mat but Tree just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tree is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Sirovica breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tree keeps the fight on the outside.
Sirovica shoots for a takedown but Tree saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sirovica has closed the distance and engaged Tree in a clinch.
Tree using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sirovica has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Tree pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sirovica is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tree knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sirovica feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sirovica is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tree can't fight it off and eventually Sirovica manages to take the fight to the floor. Tree looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
