The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rockwell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rockwell wants a takedown but no success here.
Durbans has had enough of the clinch but Rockwell keeps him there for the moment.
Durbans wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rockwell has him pressed against the cage.
Rockwell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Durbans gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Durbans's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Steve Durbans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eaton Rockwell.

Durbans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rockwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rockwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rockwell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Durbans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rockwell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rockwell is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Durbans has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rockwell is looking to defend but Durbans has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rockwell! Durbans pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rockwell taps out and this one is all over!

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ries, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Possibly an early stoppage but Williams doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
