The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jax tries to work over Silvinho's front leg with a kick but Silvinho checks it.
Jax throws a leg kick that misses.
Silvinho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silvinho shoots in for a takedown but Jax shows good takedown defense.
Silvinho on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jax. Jax obviously looking to wear him down.
Jax stalks Silvinho and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silvinho's face. Silvinho staggers backwards, shaken.

Jax closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silvinho manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Jax tries to kick Silvinho off but Silvinho keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jax is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silvinho has control of Jax's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jax regains control of the situation pretty easily.

I looks like Silvinho might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Wuchereria kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Manowar - Blood of the Kings. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
