The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray misses with a double jab.
Murray lands with a nice combination. Turn backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Ray Turn has been cut.

Turn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murray swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Turn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Murray circles away.
Turn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Murray has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight.

It looks like Paul Vinazen has been cut.
Jones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jones cracks Vinazen with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vinazen tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jones pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vinazen is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Koppia lands a nice hook to Bastiat's body. Bastiat takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Phommathep has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Phommathep has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dick finds Franklyn 's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Franklyn flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Dick lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Franklyn will be OK.

Needle Dick decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
