This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 14 losses; Paul Hunt! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 25 wins and 4 losses; Shane MacGowan! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. MacGowan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hunt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hunt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. MacGowan slaps away a takedown attempt from Hunt, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hunt shoots for a double leg takedown but MacGowan sprawls well. He's pushed Hunt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. #TD2# MacGowan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunt tries to lock up and control but MacGowan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
