The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fortuna scores to the head and body with a nice combination! It looks like Casius Laizel has been cut. Fortuna lands an overhand right. Fortuna tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laizel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fortuna slaps away a takedown attempt from Laizel, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fortuna throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fortuna connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Fortuna smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Laizel gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Fortuna gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rocky Fortuna! Rocky Fortuna was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Daddy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Daddy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Scott in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
