With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitorio Santos! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarkson shoots in looking for a takedown but Santos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clarkson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Clarkson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Santos doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Clarkson, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hudson Clarkson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clarkson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clarkson has an Americana. Santos didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Clarkson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Clarkson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oh drives through with a takedown into Aandn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Oh chips away with some ground and pound. Oh postures up and lands a big shot to Aandn's brow. Oh definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Oh looking to pass the guard. Titty lunges at Bonzela Franco with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bonzela Franco's hand. Bonzela Franco avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bonzela Franco scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Titty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Titty looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bonzela Franco slips a jab from Titty. Bonzela Franco doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bonzela Franco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bonzela Franco shoots in for a takedown but Titty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bonzela Franco moves into range and clinches up with Titty. Titty lands a body punch in the clinch. Titty misses with a punch to the body.

Kaloev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pavlovic counters with a nice uppercut. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pavlovic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kaloev misses with a takedown and Pavlovic counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdul Kaloev. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kaloev. Kaloev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pavlovic's guard. Pavlovic trying to keep a closed guard but Kaloev is proving a slippery customer.
Kaloev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kaloev drops back looking for a leg! Pavlovic is in trouble here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaloev wants to control from the top but Pavlovic keeps moving. Kaloev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kaloev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pavlovic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pavlovic working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kaloev. Pavlovic managing to control the position. Kaloev works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kaloev is trying to control the action in half guard but Pavlovic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pavlovic trying to hold on to Kaloev's head to control him but Kaloev postures up.

Adam darts in and clinches Kaupens up against the cage. I was talking to Kaupens's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kaupens tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Adam prevents Kaupens from breaking the clinch. Kaupens misses with the head strike.
Adam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Adam changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kaupens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kaupens tries to escape but Adam is in control. Adam is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kaupens knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Adam working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Adam wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kaupens, who protects the arm well. Kaupens throws Adam to one side and escapes!

Adam lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dwight Schrute! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fudd shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schrute manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fudd working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Fudd stands up over Schrute, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Schrute is controlling Fudd's posture. Fudd controls from within his opponent's guard. Schrute has Fudd pulled in close to control his posture. Fudd throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fudd misses with a takedown attempt letting Schrute counter with a right hand. Schrute throws a combination that misses and Fudd counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Schrute thinking. Fudd looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Schrute takes one to the side of the head.
Fudd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schrute's waist but Schrute gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fudd off to one side. Schrute unleashes a big counter combination but Fudd bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilmerr Fudd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fudd swings away with a body shot that misses
and Schrute counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Schrute cracks Fudd with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Schrute has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fudd to stand back up! Fudd is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fudd swings widly with a right hand
and Schrute counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
