With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve Borsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruno Butch! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borsky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Butch's half guard. Borsky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Butch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Butch manages to get to full guard.
Borsky stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Butch has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Borsky manages to get his head free but now Butch has transitioned to an armbar! Borsky grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Butch! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Liddell (ranked 5649 p4p, 5617 weight class) and Sp Sang (ranked 426 p4p, 425 weight class). Sp Sang struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Sp Sang will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonathan Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sp Sang! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sang wants to clinch and Liddell counters with a one-two to the body. Liddell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sang doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.
Sang tries to clinch up but Liddell circles away and keeps his distance. It looked like Liddell was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sang. Liddell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Liddell stands up and beckons Sang to his feet. Sang throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sang is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Liddell looking to score a takedown here. Sang is defending well but Liddell drives through and ends up in Sang's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Liddell pushing down on Sang's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Liddell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Liddell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sang defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Liddell sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sang in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Liddell controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Liddell lands a couple of good shots and Sang has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The referee is taking a good look at Sang as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Liddell!
Sang is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Liddell throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Sang is trying to defend against the choke here but Liddell has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Liddell Tightens the hold and Sang taps out furiously! Liddell displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

The ref is looking closely - Shi is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Shi is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gu Re throws a head kick that Cod semi-blocks.
It looks like Salmon Cod has been cut. Cod drives through with a takedown into guard. Cod controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cod with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cod postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gu Re looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cod might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cod postures up and lands a big shot to Gu Re's brow. Cod working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gu Re's head. Gu Re is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cod cracks Gu Re with a solid left hand. Cod keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gu Re's head. It looks like Jang Gu Re has been cut. Cod postures up and lands a big shot to Gu Re's brow. Cod is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cod has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Cod is working Gu Re over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gu Re is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cod connects with a couple of short punches. Cod slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cod scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gu Re is rocked! Cod landing some decent shots from guard. Gu Re is still in real trouble! Can Cod finish him? Cod arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Gu Re's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwan Woong pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rose gets a takedown into half guard. Rose is thwarting Kwan Woong's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kwan Woong is looking for a sweep. Rose is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kwan Woong trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Rose tries to control but Kwan Woong wriggling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rose throws some wild stikes that Kwan Woong manages to avoid easily.

Kwan Woong manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rose is looking to stall here but Kwan Woong recovers full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kwan Woong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rose working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kwan Woong's head. Kwan Woong wants to stand and escape but Rose is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kwan Woong controls Rose momentarily but Rose frees himself. Kwan Woong looking for a guillotine here but Rose defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kwan Woong to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rose is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kwan Woong pulls down on the head and he's put Rose to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Wayne throws a wild body kick that Abiyev sees coming a mile off. Wayne tries to work over Abiyev's front leg with a kick but Abiyev checks it. No luck for Abiyev with that takedown attempt. Abiyev stuffs the takedown attempt from Wayne. Wayne gets slowly back to his feet. Abiyev tries a head kick but it misses.
Wayne instigates a clinch. Wayne's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Abiyev throws a quick inside leg kick. Abiyev throws a sloppy head kick and Wayne moves out of range easily. Abiyev throws a series of punches but Wayne moves out of range. Abiyev sets himself, and Wayne steps forward looking for the clinch! Abiyev avoids it this time. Michael Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab, cross, leg kick. Wayne has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wayne is breathing heavily. Wayne throws a half hearted mid kick. Wayne misses with a body shot
and Abiyev counters with a one-two to the body. Nice takedown defense from Wayne. No joy for Abiyev on that attempt. Wayne gets a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wayne manages to break the clinch.

Abiyev shoots in for a double leg but Wayne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wayne lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yusif Abiyev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wayne shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Abiyev eats them both and turns towards Wayne to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Wayne ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Wayne drives through and clinches with Abiyev against the cage.

Abiyev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wayne. Abiyev attempts a counter takedown but Wayne avoids it well and moves away. Wayne shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Abiyev napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wayne decides to stand up, so the ref orders Abiyev to his feet. Abiyev misses with the combination.
Abiyev throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wayne. Wayne takes a swing at Abiyev's ribcage but misses. Abiyev throws a head kick that Wayne semi-blocks.
Abiyev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wayne's waist but Wayne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Abiyev off to one side. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Wayne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Abiyev takes a jab right on the kisser.

The crowd roars in approval. Wayne slams Abiyev to the floor and that's really hurt Abiyev - he doesn't know where he is! Wayne throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
