The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cruz misses with a straight left. Cruz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Watson backs up against the cage.
Watson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cruz throws out the jab. Cruz drops Watson with a beautiful combination! Watson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cruz is looking for the KO! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cruz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watson circles away quickly and effectively. Cruz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A telegraphed right hand from Cruz misses the target. Cruz lands a big right hand that sends Watson crashing to the mat! Cruz stays standing though and waves Watson back to his feet! Watson is rocked! Watson backs away from a small jab... but Cruz lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Watson crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Cruz with a spectacular finish!

Helmsfrid Jr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Helmsfrid Jr throws a shot to the body.
Emmanuella Knapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knapp misses the jab. Knapp is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Helmsfrid Jr. Knapp takes one on the button. Helmsfrid Jr takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Knapp has closed the distance and engaged Helmsfrid Jr in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dux punishes Moura's body with a nice straight punch. Moura is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dux. Dux looks to score with a jab to the body but Moura is just out of range. Moura gets a double leg takedown into Dux's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dux wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Moura has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Hardcore Island MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Moura tries to free his leg and advance position but Dux is retaining full guard. Dux throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Moura landing strikes. Moura working the body and head with strikes. Dux is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Moura off and has taken his back!

Dux thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Dux is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Moura knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Moura for a finish. Moura tries to escape but Dux has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Moura is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Will Dux go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dux seems keen to control Moura's posture. Marques Moura has got the better of the ground game so far. Moura wants to control from the top but Dux keeps moving. Dux is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Job showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ee.
A jab from Ee misses. Job feints and as Ee raises his hands in defense, Job changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. My spies in Acme Island Savages inform me that Job has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Job distracts Ee with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Job stays in close to Ee's body and controls the position. Job pushing down on Ee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Job connects with a nice short shot to Ee's temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ee taking some punishment here, with Job in his half guard. Job working Ee over with strikes. Job lands with a punch from half guard. Well, if Job is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Job seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ee trying to control but Job postures up.
Ee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Job on the ground. Job is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Job tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Job swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

McGrowler shoots in looking for a takedown but Crawley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGrowler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Crawley looks like he wants to counter punch here. McGrowler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crawley avoids it really well and circles away. McGrowler fails with the takedown and Crawley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pittarick McGrowler. That's going to take a lot out of him. McGrowler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crawley counters with a nice body shot. Crawley throws out a loose jab but McGrowler uses good head movement to avoid it. McGrowler doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crawley counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGrowler throws the left hand but Crawley avoids the punch easily. McGrowler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Crawley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Crawley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

enabling Crawley to counter with a crisp jab. It looks like Pittarick McGrowler has been cut. Crawley stuffs the takedown attempt from McGrowler. McGrowler gets slowly back to his feet. Takashi is trying to maintain a safe position but Yuudai gets an underhook and turns Takashi into the cage. Yuudai manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Takashi passes into half guard. Yuudai wants to control but Takashi is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takashi slows the pace down in half guard. Yuudai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Yuudai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Takashi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Takashi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Takashi is looking for a sweep.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Takashi is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Yuudai goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Takashi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yuudai but great work by Takashi. And that is the end of the round. He thinks about going to the ground but Green looks back up at him and smiles so Diaz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Green's head, knocking him out cold! Diaz is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Noel Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world.
