Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Brown!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julian Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a body kick.
Wallace digs a good hook to Brown's body.
Wallace tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A left lands for Wallace.
Brown on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Some wild striking there from Wallace.
Wallace attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A counter left hand to the body from Brown misses its target.
Brown throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wallace looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Brown takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wallace tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wallace stalks Brown and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brown's face. Brown staggers backwards, shaken.

Brown drops his hands momentarily and Wallace takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wallace darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wallace scores with a jab to the body.
Crunch! Brown slams his shin into Wallace's torso.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brown seems to have got his legs back now.
Brown slips a jab and a cross from Wallace.
Wallace darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Brown throws out a leg kick but Wallace moves out of range and Brown only half commits.
Wallace paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wallace moves out of range of the body kick from Brown.
Brown throws a right and a left that Wallace avoids nicely.
Brown walks into a stiff left hand from Wallace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wallace loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Brown scores with a kick to the body.
Wallace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brown gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Wallace connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Brown avoids the head kick by Wallace.
Brown scores with a spinning back kick!
Wallace throws a lazy right hand but Brown sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brown walks into a straight right hand from Wallace.
Wallace connects with a single shot there.
Wallace looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.
A swing and a miss from Wallace.
Wallace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
Brown half committed to a counter leg kick.
A cross from Wallace lands.
Wallace misses with a low kick.
Wallace is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Wallace scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Wallace throws out a head kick that Brown doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Brown crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Brown's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wallace swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wallace keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wallace throws a nice head kick!
Wallace steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Brown. That one must have hurt.
Wallace cracks Brown with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Brown is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Brown is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Brown could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Julian Wallace!
Julian Wallace is the new bantamweight champion!
After the fight, Julian Wallace was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
