Smoke throws a jab when Slofok was well out of range.
Slofok swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Slofok bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Smoke's head.

Smoke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Smoke is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Ludvik Slofok has been cut.

Smoke swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Smoke throws a series of punches but Slofok avoids them all with ease.
Slofok went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Slofok could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mannion swinging wildly here.
Fujinuma goes for a double leg but Mannion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mannion continues to drive forward.
Fujinuma is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mannion has Fujinuma pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mannion pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fujinuma tumbling to the mat - Mannion dives into Fujinuma's guard.

Fujinuma throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mannion escapes and throws Fujinuma's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Michel shoots for a double leg takedown but Neich sprawls well. He's pushed Michel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neich lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Michel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JAG Battle Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Neich stalks Michel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Michel's face. Michel staggers backwards, shaken.

and Neich counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Michel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Neich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Michel scrambles back to his feet.

Neich lands with an uppercut that bounces Michel off the cage and back into range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Michel jumps guard and drags Neich to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Neich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Michel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Neich's guard.

Michel stands and throws Neich's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Michel has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Neich is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Michel yanks on the arm and Neich is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Michel.
