The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses the body punch
and Chonen counters with a stiff right hand.
Chonen misses with an uppercut. Jackson saw that one coming.
Chonen cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jackson scores with a nice right hand.
Jackson throws a jab but it's blocked by Chonen.
A telegraphed right hand from Jackson misses the target.
Jackson digs a good body shot into Chonen's ribs.
Nice uppercut lands for Jackson. That snapped Chonen's head back.
Chonen moves away from the strike by Jackson.
Jackson takes a swing at Chonen's ribcage but misses.
Chonen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Finch Gym in the buildup to the fight.
A big right from Jackson misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chonen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jackson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jackson misses with a looping left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Chonen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chonen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chonen lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Will Jackson has been cut.
Chonen misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It seemed like Jackson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Chonen moves away from the strike by Jackson.
Chonen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Chonen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Chonen finish him?
Jackson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Chonen lands a body shot.
Jackson cracks Chonen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Chonen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jackson finish him?
Oh Chonen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson throws out a counter right but Chonen avoids it with no problem.
Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Chonen up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Jackson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Chonen's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
