Blacktoe moves in looking to clinch but Bricks pushes him off.

It looks like Sinun Blacktoe has been cut.
Bricks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bricks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blacktoe defends it easily.
Bricks seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bricks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blacktoe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bricks looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blacktoe has picked Bricks up and slammed him! Bricks can't keep hold of the triangle and Blacktoe manages to pass to side control!
Blacktoe has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Tungsten gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tungsten - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tungsten lands an uppercut.
Moura tries to break free but Tungsten pushes him back against the cage.
Tungsten lands with a short shot to the head.
Moura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tungsten smiles and moves away.

letting Tungsten counter with a right hand.
Moura shoots in and bounces Tungsten off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Tungsten manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Terry Tungsten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aderbar Moura.
Moura jumps guard but Tungsten stands there with Moura around his waist. Moura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tungsten creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Moura with a big uppercut! Moura tries to clinch up but Tungsten pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Moura to the mat! Moura covers up and Tungsten unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank throws a sloppy head kick and Smoke moves out of range easily.
As Frank tries to get set, Smoke tries to push him back and clinch up but Frank manages to avoid the attempt.
Frank throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smoke's waist but Smoke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frank off to one side.
A quick step to the side and Smoke tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Frank has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Smoke counters with a crisp one two that drops Frank! Smoke thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Frank to his feet! Frank is in big trouble!
Big Smoke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Everest Frank.

Smoke lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Frank up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Smoke from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Frank's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Akwasi Nti was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

A very excited looking Phil Cosby rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez scores with a jab to the body.
Ahearn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lopez throws out a counter right but Ahearn avoids it with no problem.
Lopez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lopez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ahearn.
Good exchange - Lopez coming out on top.
Lopez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ahearn.
Lopez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ahearn throws a lazy uppercut
and Lopez counters with a nice uppercut.
Lopez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ahearn.
Lopez walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ahearn drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Lopez swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ahearn's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
