The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I think Griggs might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to LL Cool J- Momma Said Knock You Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ward's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Griggs connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ward scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Maxim Ward has been cut.
Griggs throws a jab but it's blocked by Ward.
Griggs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ward moves out of range of the strikes.
Griggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
