Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Shaw (ranked 23172 p4p, 24317 weight class) and Xavier DeJesus (ranked 638 p4p, 595 weight class). DeJesus has chosen Fond my mind as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kevin Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xavier DeJesus! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw doesn't manage to clinch there - DeJesus circles away.
Shaw throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. DeJesus lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from DeJesus! But no joy. Shaw lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but DeJesus swats him away and circles back towards the center. DeJesus steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. DeJesus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shaw was covering up waiting for the punch and DeJesus finishes the takedown easily into guard. Shaw pushes DeJesus off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shaw tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shaw fails with the takedown and DeJesus counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but DeJesus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Shaw moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Xavier DeJesus seems to be getting the better of the standup. Shaw ducks right into an uppercut from DeJesus. Shaw fails with the takedown and Shaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! Xavier DeJesus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well DeJesus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. and Trowne makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lvov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A head kick by Trowne misses and Lvov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Lvov blocks a leg kick. A jab from Trowne finds it's way through Lvov's defenses. Lvov moves into the clinch. Lvov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lvov fails with the takedown. Lvov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trowne pinned against the cage. Trowne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lvov ducks right into an uppercut from Trowne. A kick lands to the mid section there for Lvov.

Left hook, right uppercut from Trowne. Lvov tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Trowne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Trowne throws a head kick that misses. Trowne throws a right and a left that both miss. Trowne cracks Lvov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Chavaski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chavaski moves out of range as Luciano strikes. Chavaski goes for a double leg but Luciano avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Luciano continues to drive forward. Luciano is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chavaski pulls down on the head and he's put Luciano to sleep! This one is all over!
