With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rak Boonliang! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boonliang throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nyla stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Boonliang scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nyla in his tracks. Boonliang scores with a body shot.
Boonliang has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Boonliang stuns Nyla with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Nyla throws a lazy uppercut
and Boonliang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Boonliang buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Boonliang wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sammy Nyla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping body kick lands there for Boonliang. Nyla takes a kick to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nyla swings widly with a right hand
and Boonliang counters with a two punch combo. Nyla misses with a right hand and Boonliang counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nyla thinking. Boonliang throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nyla.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nyla misses with an uppercut
and Boonliang counters with a lovely straight right hand! Boonliang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nyla. Boonliang is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Boonliang uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nyla. Nyla misses with a right hand and Boonliang counters with a crisp one two that drops Nyla! Boonliang thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Nyla to his feet! Nyla is in big trouble! Nyla is rocked! Boonliang fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nyla has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Oh Nyla is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nyla throws the left hand but Boonliang avoids the punch easily. Nyla seems to have got his legs back now. Boonliang cracks Nyla on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Nyla falls backwards against the cage. Boonliang follows up with more strikes that drop Nyla to his knees. Boonliang keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Nyla! This one is all over!

With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Sobhraj! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sobhraj lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tomsett has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tomsett and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Sobhraj shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tomsett as he jumps to the side. Tomsett fails to land with a series of punches.
Tomsett misses with a straight left. Sobhraj shoots in looking for a takedown. Tomsett tries to sprawl out of it but Sobhraj keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tomsett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sobhraj fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tomsett half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dechlan Tomsett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Sobhraj. Sobhraj misses with a takedown attempt - Tomsett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sobhraj throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Tomsett counters with a left to the body. We've been told by Tomsett's head coaches at Team Mass Valley Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sobhraj gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomsett is controlling Sobhraj's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sobhraj prevents Tomsett from improving his position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sobhraj lands a nice short elbow. Sobhraj has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sobhraj slips a nice elbow through Tomsett's hands, connecting with Tomsett's forehead. Tomsett wants to get back to his feet.

Tomsett on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sobhraj working Tomsett over with strikes. Tomsett is looking for a sweep. Sobhraj is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Sobhraj seems content to control. Sobhraj scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Sobhraj prevents Tomsett from standing back up.

Victors is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Funny is controlling him well. Funny lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Funny works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Funny lands a nice forearm strike. Victors trying to remain calm as Funny controls from the top position. Funny trying to control the action but Victors is working from the bottom. Victors takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Victors is trying to escape and get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Doug Funny will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Doug Funny's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Victors lands a jab to the nose. Victors tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Funny counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Victors pushes Funny off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Nigel Victors is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Victors throws a nice looking combination but Funny bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Victors's corner calls for a 1-2. Victors obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Victors lands with a straight right. Funny didn't see that one coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Victors tries to clinch up but Funny circles away and keeps his distance. Funny attempts a counter takedown but Victors avoids it well and moves away. Victors throws an overhand right that lands on Funny's shoulder, as Funny tries to avoid the shot. Victors fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Funny manages to avoid it. Funny appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Funny takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Victors throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Funny postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Victors badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Funny around the waist but Funny pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Funny is the winner by TKO! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Garcia throws a big counter combination but Taylor scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Taylor fails in his attempt to clinch. Kyle Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcia waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Taylor. Taylor doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Garcia to counter with a crisp jab. Garcia misses with a straight left. Garcia has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Taylor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Taylor remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Alfonzo walks into a left hand. Girith throws a body punch but Alfonzo moves out of range. Alfonzo drops his hands momentarily and Girith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. It looks like Elmanaga Alfonzo has been cut. Girith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Girith has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Girith lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Alfonzo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Girith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alfonzo scrambles back to his feet. Girith throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alfonzo counters with a thumping low kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Girith scores with a jab. Alfonzo acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Girith is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Alfonzo is rocked!

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Moussa Kabore! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Datte Bayo! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bayo misses with a wild body shot. Kabore comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kabore throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bayo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bayo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Oh Kabore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kabore is breathing heavily. Kabore takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bayo lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kabore head around and knocks him out cold! Bayo hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
