The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reece tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reece somewhat.
Beer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
A combination from Beer does no damage.
Reece takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Reece tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Reece slips a jab and a cross from Beer.
Beer scores with a nice head shot.
Beer misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beer lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Reece goes down and covers up as Beer starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Shinnosuke Nakagawa decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
