The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neputin moves into the clinch successfully.
Sapp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sapp has taken the fight to the clinch.
Neputin is trying to break the clinch but Sapp has him pressed against the cage. Sapp decides to pull guard. Neputin drops back looking for a leg! Sapp is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sapp manages to kick Neputin off! Neputin jumps back into Sapp's guard. Neputin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sapp swivels though and keeps the full guard. Neputin wants to control from the top but Sapp keeps moving. Sapp looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Neputin passes into half guard.

Neputin is looking to pass Sapp's guard but actually Sapp recovers to full guard. Neputin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sapp is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Neputin, into his guard. Sapp trying to stand up but can't free himself from Neputin's guard.

Sapp advances position into side control! Sapp is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Neputin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sapp works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sapp trying to control the position but Neputin is working away. Sapp is breathing heavily. Neputin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sapp's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Neputin looking for submissions off his back.

Sapp wants to control from the top but Neputin keeps moving. Sapp tries to free his leg and advance position but Neputin is retaining full guard. Sapp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sapp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Neputin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Neputin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Neputin pulls Sapp in to control the position. Sapp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neputin wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Neputin has closed the distance and engaged Sapp in a clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Neputin.
Neputin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sapp has Neputin pressed against the cage.
Neputin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Neputin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sapp blocks a body shot from Neputin. Neputin avoiding damage as Sapp throws knees to the body.

That was a close round but I would say that Wand Sapp will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Neputin looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Neputin wants to control from the top but Sapp keeps moving. Sapp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Neputin is one step ahead there. Neputin has gone for a leg lock! Sapp slips out almost immediately though and dives into Neputin's guard. Sapp pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Neputin is keeping the position for now. Sapp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Neputin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sapp throwing strikes from guard but Neputin blocks nicely. Sapp stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sapp misses with a takedown and Neputin moves into the clinch. Neputin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Sapp trying to land knees to the body.
Sapp has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Neputin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sapp tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Neputin just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wand Sapp. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neputin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Neputin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sapp is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neputin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sapp swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sapp looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sapp keeping moving, preventing Neputin from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neputin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sapp to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Neputin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sapp pulls down on the head and he's put Neputin to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yurinov throws a right hand that Pigg ducks under and follows up with a left that Pigg also avoids with ease. Pigg moves in looking to clinch but Yurinov pushes him off. Yurinov jabs at Pigg's body. Pigg dodges the punch combination from Yurinov.
Yurinov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pigg tries to clinch but Yurinov is having none of it. Yurinov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pigg circles away. Pigg tries to clinch but Yurinov moves out of range. Pigg slips a jab and a cross from Yurinov.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yurinov's guard. Pigg wants to pass the guard but Yurinov is defending well. Yurinov wants to control but Pigg is keeping busy and won't allow it. Yurinov has hold of Pigg's hands but Pigg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Pigg wants to take a breather but Yurinov is having none of it. Pigg lands strikes from half guard. Pigg throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Yurinov wants to get back to full guard but Pigg has mounted him! Yurinov defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pigg. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yurinov working to try and regain half guard.

Pigg tries to clinch but Yurinov moves away and Yurinov counters by moving into the clinch. Yurinov jumps guard but Pigg stands there with Yurinov around his waist. Yurinov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pigg misses with a knee to the head. Pigg is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Yurinov pulls him back up using the underhooks. Pigg goes for a takedown attempt but Yurinov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Yurinov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Pigg lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Yurinov tries to hold on but Pigg postures up. Yurinov squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Vovkov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Vovkov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Vovkov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jackson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Vovkov has cracked it and Jackson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Vovkov!

Iliantovjic is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Iliantovjic wants to get back to his feet but Grierson drags him back down. Grierson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Iliantovjic is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Grierson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Iliantovjic is looking to get back to his feet here but Grierson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Iliantovjic's back.

Iliantovjic is trying to defend against the choke here but Grierson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Grierson Tightens the hold and Iliantovjic taps out furiously! Grierson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Guavo comes into the arena with Jizz In My Pants blaring out of the sound system. Eddie Guavo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Infernus throws a nice inside leg kick. Infernus thows a body shot but no joy. Oliveira ducks under a wild hook from Infernus. Infernus throws a jab but it's blocked by Oliveira. Oliveira is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Infernus's half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are battling for position here. Infernus manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Infernus not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Oliveira trying to control the position from guard on top but Infernus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Oliveira working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Oliveira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oliveira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Oliveira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Infernus swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oliveira trying to control the position from guard on top but Infernus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Infernus throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Oliveira uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Infernus has time to react. Oliveira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Infernus was covering up waiting for the punch and Oliveira finishes the takedown easily into guard. Oliveira trying to control but Infernus is working from the bottom. Oliveira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Infernus utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Oliveira throws and elbow that misses. Infernus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Oliveira's guard. Nice move by Infernus! Oliveira throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Infernus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Oliveira looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Infernus throws a series of strikes that have Oliveira backpedaling.
Infernus throws out a leg kick but Oliveira moves out of range and Infernus only half commits. Infernus scores with a nice right hand.

This has been an exciting period of action! Oliveira avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Infernus jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Oliveira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Infernus is trying to defend but Oliveira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. That was a close round but I would say that Gaahl Infernus will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Oliveira on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Oliveira stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Infernus. A slow jab from Oliveira misses its intended target. Infernus throws out a loose jab but Oliveira uses good head movement to avoid it. Oliveira dips to his left and cracks Infernus with an uppercut! Oliveira shoots in but Infernus avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Infernus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Infernus misses with a straight left. No luck with that takedown attempt from Oliveira. Infernus avoids the body shot from Oliveira.
Infernus cracks a nice hook into Oliveira's ribs. Oliveira throws a nice looking combination but Infernus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Infernus throws a hook but Oliveira blocks it. Infernus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd cheers as Infernus lands an impressive looking overhand right. Oliveira doesn't seem phased though. No luck with that takedown attempt from Oliveira. Gaahl Infernus is winning the standup battle so far. Infernus moves into the clinch. Infernus lands a damaging elbow. Oliveira swings wildly with an uppercut but Infernus uses good head movement to avoid it. Oliveira takes an elbow to the forehead. Oliveira managing to block the knees to the body from Infernus.

Infernus pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Infernus pushes off an throws an elbow but Oliveira leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Oliveira has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Infernus just misses with a elbow thrown towards Oliveira's brow. Oliveira lands with a light punch inside. Oliveira scores with a nice hook to the head. Infernus lands a nice elbow. Infernus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Infernus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oliveira. Oliveira scores a takedown into full mount! Infernus is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Infernus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Infernus is trying desperately to improve position. Infernus tries to hold on but Oliveira pushes him away. Oliveira wants to finish this one by submission but Infernus is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Oliveira. Infernus gets back to half guard. Infernus trying to control but Oliveira postures up.
Oliveira not landing any meaningful shots this time. Francisco Santos Oliveira has got the better of the ground game so far. Infernus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Francisco Santos Oliveira. I think Infernus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
