The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Thrax throws a front kick aimed at Suckerson's knee but Suckerson avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suckerson tries a low kick but Thrax avoids it. Thrax only half commits to the counter leg kick. A clash of legs there as Thrax blocks the low kick. Thrax tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suckerson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Thrax. Thrax checks a low kick from Suckerson. Good work by Thrax as he checks the leg kick. Thrax is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Suckerson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thrax misses with a leg kick. Suckerson blocks a low kick nicely. Suckerson tries to counter by clinching up but Thrax breaks away and moves out of range. Some bone on bone action there as Suckerson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Suckerson half committed to a counter leg kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Suckerson throws a low kick but Thrax avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tuff Suckerson. Well Suckerson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
