The fighters circle momentarily. Hawkins darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hawkins feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Hawkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gracie. That did some damage!
Hawkins clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hawkins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.
Hawkins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hawkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hawkins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hawkins lands a big shot there that rocks Gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hawkins breaks from Gracie's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie has left one of his arms exposed and Hawkins doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Gracie screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
