Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Talbain (ranked 24736 p4p, 3524 weight class) and Major Pain (ranked 713 p4p, 427 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Talbain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Major Pain! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talbain gets caught flat footed, as Pain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Talbain definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pain engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Talbain keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain is working Talbain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pain stays in close to Talbain's body and controls the position. Talbain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Talbain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Talbain throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Talbain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pain has passed into half guard!
Talbain is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pain looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pain is looking to advance position but Talbain won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Talbain tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Talbain wants to control but Pain is keeping busy and won't allow it. Talbain avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pain. Pain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Talbain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pain missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Talbain is trying to get back to full guard. Pain wants to control but Talbain is keeping him busy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Talbain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pain to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pain stays in close to Talbain's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain postures up.
Talbain looking for a sweep. Not yet Talbain, not yet. Pain looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pain trying to stand up but can't free himself from Talbain's guard. Talbain looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pain trying to control the position from guard on top but Talbain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Talbain keeping full guard, as Pain tries to pass. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Talbain keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain won't allow Talbain to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Talbain fails with the takedown and Pain counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Talbain throws a right hand that misses
and Pain counters with a lovely shot to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Major Pain dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Talbain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And Pain tries to counter it with a takedown but Talbain pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pain scores with a jab. Jon Talbain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Some wild striking there from Talbain.
Talbain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pain moves into the clinch. Pain has Talbain pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pain pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Talbain tumbling to the mat - Pain dives into Talbain's guard. Talbain is trying to keep Pain in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pain stands and steps away. Talbain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Talbain. It seemed like Pain was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Talbain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pain defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Talbain. Talbain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Talbain wants it to stay on the feet. A jab from Talbain finds it's way through Pain's defenses. Talbain tries for a takedown but Pain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pain closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Talbain keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pain's efforts to push away. Talbain is trying to break free. Talbain has a couple of punches blocked by Pain.
Pain has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Talbain is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Pain just leaning against Talbain, taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Talbain tries to stall but Pain uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Pain tries to pull guard but Talbain holds him up against the ropes and eventually Pain drops back down to his feet.
Talbain is trying to drag Pain to the mat but Pain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Talbain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pain pulls his leg out and moves away.
Talbain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pain wants to pass the guard but Talbain is defending well. Pain throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain stalling away here and it's allowed Talbain to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Pain trying to control but Talbain is working from the bottom. Talbain wants to get back to his feet but Pain is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pain decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Talbain, up you get! Talbain misses with a takedown attempt - Pain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pain wants to counter with a clinch but Talbain pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pain pushes Talbain up against the ropes in a clinch. Talbain changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pain fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Talbain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pain looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Talbain tries to sprawl but Pain drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pain sitting and controlling from the half guard. Pain is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Talbain wants to control but Pain is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Major Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Pain tries to break the clinch but Talbain is controlling the position. Pain gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Major Pain has got the better of the ground game so far. Talbain keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain postures up.
Talbain is looking for a triangle but Pain pushes his legs off easily.
Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Talbain swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Talbain controls Pain momentarily but Pain frees himself. Talbain is really struggling to control Pain but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pain trying to control the position from guard on top but Talbain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Talbain is trying to keep Pain in close.
Pain postures up in Talbain's guard and throws a big left but Talbain blocks it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Pain dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Pain closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Talbain gets control of Pain's arms and successfully pulls guard. Talbain will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Talbain keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain preventing the sweep. Pain won't allow Talbain to get back to his feet. Pain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Talbain looking for a guillotine here but Pain defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Talbain throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Pain with a flurry of punches that miss. Talbain trying to keep a closed guard but Pain is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Talbain fails to land the takedown. Talbain fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Talbain tries to sprawl but Pain drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pain is pressing down on Talbain's thigh, looking to free his foot. Talbain is holding on for now. Talbain works his way to full guard. Good work. Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pain stopping the sweep attempt from Talbain. Pain with a flurry of punches that miss. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Talbain is trying to keep Pain in close.
Pain stands up and waves to Talbain to follow him.
And that's the end of the fight! Major Pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
