The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Tiihonen misses. Tiihonen with a hook. Fenili ducks right into an uppercut from Tiihonen. Fenili looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tiihonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fenili doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fenili manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tiihonen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tiihonen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fenili can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fenili slips nicely into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fenili is working for a kimura but Tiihonen is defending it quite comfortably.

Tiihonen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Tiihonen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fenili's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fenili's back! Fenili wants to escape the position.
Tiihonen has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Fenili tries to escape but Tiihonen has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Tiihonen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Fenili defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Tiihonen looks gassed! Tiihonen is hanging on to Fenili's back as he tries to escape.

No, Fenili has managed to get both his arms back between Tiihonen's legs - danger averted. Tiihonen is trying to control the position but Fenili postures up. Tiihonen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fenili trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiihonen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fenili is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fenili throwing strikes but missing. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fenili gets the takedown into side control. Fenili tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jasser Tiihonen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tiihonen thows a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from Tiihonen. Fenili does a little dance to reset his feet. Fenili showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tiihonen.
Jasser Tiihonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fenili shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tiihonen sprawls well. Tiihonen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fenili gets slowly back to his feet. Fenili will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fenili shoots for a double leg takedown but Tiihonen sprawls well. He's pushed Fenili's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Fenili. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tiihonen misses with a two punch combination.

Fenili prevents Tiihonen from improving his position. Tiihonen is in trouble now - Fenili has advanced to mount! Fenili trying to control but Tiihonen is having none of it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tiihonen passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Fenili! Fenili seems to have got his legs back now. Fenili tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tiihonen tries to control but Fenili wriggling away. Fenili wants to hold on but Tiihonen pushes him away.

Fenili bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Fenili has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fenili wants to pass the guard but Tiihonen is keeping the position. Tiihonen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fenili's guard. Fenili working for a triangle but Tiihonen defends it easily.
Tiihonen advances position into side control! Tiihonen moves into full mount! Tiihonen wants to finish this one by submission but Fenili is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tiihonen. Fenili is squirming around, avoiding Tiihonen's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fenili is looking to improve his position but Tiihonen isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tiihonen has control of Fenili's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fenili regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Fenili is looking to get to half guard. Tiihonen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Fenili is trying desperately to improve position. Gabriel Fenili has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jasser Tiihonen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fenili trying to punch from the bottom. They're landing but they're really not going to hurt Tiihonen.
And that's the end of the fight! Jasser Tiihonen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tiihonen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. That's going to sap some energy. couture shoots for a takedown but Mojo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mojo is looking to slow couture down with leg kicks. Mojo with a body punch. A glancing blow. couture is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mojo connects with a nice looking jab.
