Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gajah Mada (ranked 23826 p4p, 6397 weight class) and Dario Oliveira (ranked 652 p4p, 589 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mada might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fighter Mode. Gajah Mada has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajah Mada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dario Oliveira! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mada circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mada changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. The fight stays on the outside here - Oliveira looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mada appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Oliveira clinches up against the ropes. Mada presses Oliveira against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mada creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Oliveira's defenses. Mada tries to break free but Oliveira pushes him back against the ropes. Mada lands a takedown into guard.
Oliveira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mada doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mada manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Oliveira has his foot on Mada's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mada works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mada got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oliveira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Svenson! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Svenson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Svenson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shearer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Svenson shoots in but Shearer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shearer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Svenson tries for a takedown but Shearer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shearer appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shearer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Svenson ducks right into an uppercut from Shearer. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shearer lands a nice hook to Svenson's body. Svenson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Svenson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Shearer has got the better of the exchanges. Svenson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's going to take a lot out of Kai Svenson. Shearer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Shearer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Svensons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Svenson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shearer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Shearer stuns Svenson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Svenson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nice cross by Shearer.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Granes working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Granes controlling from the full mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Granes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Keenwah Granes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
