Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralph Wiggum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Edmund! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wiggum throws a series of strikes that have Edmund backpedaling.
Wiggum throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Edmund's waist but Edmund gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wiggum off to one side. Edmund throws a nice outside leg kick. Wiggum has closed the distance and engaged Edmund in a clinch.
Wiggum has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Edmund lands with a short shot to the head. Edmund lands an elbow inside that Wiggum shrugs off. It looks like Ralph Wiggum has been cut. Wiggum is trying to force a seperation but Edmund has the dominant position. Edmund throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Edmund pushes Wiggum back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Edmund lands a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wiggum slows down the pace here.
Edmund lands a big right hand that drops Wiggum! The killer instinct kicks in and Edmund finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Edmund!

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Gallagher! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side. Gallagher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Gallagher persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing. Black half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Black manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gallagher on his heels. He'll look to pass Gallagher's guard now, I'm sure. Black is in close to Gallagher's body, working some short punches and elbows. Gallagher has momentary wrist control but Black slips an elbow through the middle. Black controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Black postures up and lands a big shot to Gallagher's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gallagher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gallagher throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Gallagher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gallagher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Black controls the pace. Gallagher looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Black passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gallagher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Black tries to pass to full mount but Gallagher defends it. Gallagher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Black is figuring out what he wants to do next. Black has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gallagher tries to get to full guard but Black has control of the leg. Black controlling the action here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Black displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gallagher. Adonis Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Gallagher.

James Gallagher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black slaps away a takedown attempt from Gallagher, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Black controls the position from side control. Black's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gallagher for as long as he can get away with. Black continues to stall. Gallagher tries to bench press Black off him but Black keeps the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gallagher trying to remain calm as Black controls from the top position. Black lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Black feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Wont is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Wont tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sonefeld's elbow. A left hand lands to the body for Sonefeld.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sonefeld passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wont! Wont holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sonefeld tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

O Malley shoots in for a takedown but Hughes shows good takedown defense. No luck for O Malley with that takedown attempt. Hughes tries to keep at a distance but O Malley has taken the fight into the clinch. O Malley is trying to drag Hughes to the mat but Hughes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A right hook to the body lands for O Malley.
Hughes is working for takedown but O Malley is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes wants to take the fight to the mat but O Malley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hughes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. O Malley doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

O Malley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hughes blocks it with crossed arms. O Malley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. O Malley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hughes with a lazy takedown attempt and O Malley counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hughes. Hughes darts in looking for a takedown but O Malley gets double underhooks and turns Hughes into the cage. Hughes looks winded! O Malley throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hughes. O Malley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hughes's waist but Hughes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Malley off to one side. Hughes shoots in looking for a takedown. O Malley tries to sprawl out of it but Hughes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Malley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hughes slips under a jab from O Malley. Hughes darts in looking for a takedown but O Malley gets double underhooks and turns Hughes into the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. O Malley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hughes is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. O Malley stuffs the takedown. O Malley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hughes can do to turn this around? Horrible takedown attempt by O Malley or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad. Hughes tries to counter with a clinch but O Malley shakes him off and moves away. Hughes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but O Malley defends well and Hughes ends up having to push O Malley into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. O Malley dives in for a single leg takedown but Hughes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hughes gets underhooks to prevent O Malley's takedown attempt.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. O Malley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and O Malley wants it to stay on the feet. Hughes shoots in for a takedown but O Malley shows good takedown defense. O Malley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hughes to score an easy takedown into full guard. O Malley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss. O Malley looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Malley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hughes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hughes throws a strike but O Malley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes keeping full guard, as O Malley tries to pass. Both fighters are breathing heavily. O Malley trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Malley's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hughes wants to stand and escape but O Malley is having none of it. Hughes keeping moving, preventing O Malley from controlling successfully. Hughes pushes O Malley off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Malley connects with a solid leg kick. O Malley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hughes closes the distance and clinches up with O Malley, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes O Malley against the cage but O Malley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sean O Malley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Hughes. Nice takedown defense from Hughes. No joy for O Malley on that attempt. Hughes is looking for the big counter here. O Malley gets in close and instigates a clinch. O Malley has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hughes after a bit of a struggle. Hughes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. O Malley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. O Malley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Hughes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hughes closes the distance and clinches up with O Malley, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes O Malley against the cage but O Malley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hughes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. O Malley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hughes as he avoids it easily. O Malley scores with a spinning back kick! O Malley tries to clinch but Hughes moves away and Hughes counters with a three punch combo that has O Malley backing up. O Malley nods at Hughes to acknowledge the strikes. O Malley gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Malley unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hughes lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as O Malley takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. O Malley tries to pull guard but Hughes won't allow it.
Hughes goes for a takedown attempt but O Malley pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Hughes counters with a nice uppercut. Kevin Hughes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sean O Malley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hughes fails to land with a series of punches.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean O Malley. Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Malley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. Spice lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jackson throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Jimbo Spice has been cut. Spice moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Spice connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off. Jackson is looking to clinch. Spice misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jackson scores with a one two! Spice had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spice swats him away and circles back towards the center. A cross from Spice lands. Jab from Spice. Spice drops Jackson with a beautiful combination! Jackson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Spice is looking for the KO! Jackson is rocked! Spice is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Jackson flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jackson is out cold! Spice holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grant lands with a slapping head kick. Grant misses with a takedown attempt - Jenkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jenkins is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Grant really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jenkins walks away with a smile on his face. Grant gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jenkins fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madsen closes the distance and pushes Reeves back into the cage. Madsen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Reeves throws a series of punches but Madsen avoids them all with ease. Madsen fails to land the takedown. Madsen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Madsen tries to score with some ground and pound. Reeves controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Reeves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Madsen on the ground. Madsen wants to stand but Reeves is controlling his arm. Reeves is pushing Madsen's head away, looking to escape. Madsen manages to hold on to the position though. Reeves tries to bench press Madsen off him but Madsen keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Reeves's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check out the look on Madsen's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's one minute gone in the round. Madsen has an Americana. Reeves didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Madsen is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Madsen hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
