1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fekadeab Dejene! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dejene throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Syndrome. A punch combination from Syndrome misses. Dejene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Syndrome.
Syndrome tries to keep at a distance but Dejene has taken the fight into the clinch. Dejene throws a punch but it's blocked by Syndrome. Syndrome lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dejene wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Syndrome has Dejene pressed against the cage, preventing Dejene from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dejene throws a head punch that misses. Dejene is trying to drag Syndrome to the mat but Syndrome just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Syndrome lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Dejene is rocked! Syndrome effectively controlling the action here. Dejene is still on wobbly legs! Can Syndrome finish him? A frustrated look appears on Dejene's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dejene seems to have recovered his senses. Syndrome pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. and Dejene counters with a nice body shot. A nice combination there by Dejene.

Dejene stalks Syndrome and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Syndrome's face. Syndrome staggers backwards, shaken. Syndrome will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dejene shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Syndrome's guard. Syndrome has his foot on Dejene's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dejene works his way back into a safe position though. Syndrome keeping moving, preventing Dejene from controlling successfully. Dejene is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dejene working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dejene wants to pass the guard but Syndrome is keeping the position. Dejene throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Syndrome is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dejene misses with a jab, cross combination.

Syndrome rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dejene moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dejene fails in his attempt to clinch. Dejene cracks Syndrome with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tourette Syndrome is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Syndrome throws a combination that misses and Dejene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Syndrome takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Dejene lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Syndrome circles away quickly and effectively. Syndrome moves out of range of the body kick. Some wild striking there from Syndrome.
Nice cross by Dejene. Dejene closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dejene is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Syndrome dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Syndrome keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dejene's efforts to push away. Syndrome is working Dejene over against the cage. Dejene fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tourette Syndrome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fekadeab Dejene. Dejene wants to get back to striking at distance but Syndrome won't allow it.

Syndrome connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Dejene! He's out on his feet! Syndrome rushes in and drops Dejene with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman feints and as Joestar raises his hands in defense, Coleman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Coleman is working Joestar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Coleman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Coleman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Coleman keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Coleman and the ref steps in to end the fight! Coleman can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Kooch prevents Reynolds from getting the reversal. Kooch swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reynolds is now in Kooch's guard. A big mistake from Kooch there, giving up the dominant position! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kooch is looking for a triangle here but Reynolds uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Reynolds tries to get to his feet but Kooch is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Reynolds in his guard. Kooch has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Reynolds is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kooch. Kooch trying to control but Reynolds flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kooch manages to reverse the position and now he's in Reynolds's guard. Nice work there by Kooch.
Reynolds pulls Kooch in to control the position. Mike Kooch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reynolds wants to sweep but no luck. Kooch drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reynolds manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kooch has Reynolds in his guard. Kooch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! Mal Reynolds comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Reynolds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Me moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Me drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A big left from Me misses. Ekaku displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Mini Me has been cut. Ekaku avoids the body shot from Me.

and Ekaku counters with a nice uppercut. Me stuns Ekaku with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ekaku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
