3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikey Pepper! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Daley lands a nice forearm strike. Daley connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pepper some visible discomfort.
The ground and pound from Daley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Pepper is looking to reverse the position. Pepper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pepper trying to control here.
Pepper has one foot on Daley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Pepper throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madison dodges the punch combination from Beer.
Nice defenses there by Madison. Beer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beer throws a right hand that Madison ducks under and follows up with a left that Madison also avoids with ease. Beer looks to land a combination but Madison avoids it well. Beer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Madison. Madison takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Beer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Madison.

He's pushed Rummer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rummer keeps the fight on the outside. McMurray closes the distance and clinches. McMurray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rummer is defended easily by McMurray. McMurray stuffs the takedown. You can see the frustration on Craven's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Craven is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Oyster is staying active. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Rood. Beautiful body shot. Darar wants to clinch up but Rood keeps it at a distance. Darar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rood takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Rood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Darar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rood shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Darar's guard. Rood is looking to work some ground and pound but Darar has wrist control. Rood won't allow Darar to get back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rood accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Darar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rood tries to free his leg and advance position but Darar is retaining full guard. Rood postures up.

Rood looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Rood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rood feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Darar pulls Rood in close to prevent any damage. Rood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Darar is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rood drops back looking for a leg! Darar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Darar manages to kick Rood off! Rood jumps back into Darar's guard. Darar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rood!

Darar tries to control but Rood wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rood bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Darar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rood sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Darar's guard. Rood seems to be working for a kimura but Darar defends the submission attempt. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rood trying to pass the guard but Darar defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rood stops Darar from getting back to his feet.
