Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Corner Cutting!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Chandler!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutting waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chandler.
Chandler is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Cutting throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chandler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cutting but Cutting pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cutting leaves Chandler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chandler darts in looking for a takedown but Cutting gets double underhooks and turns Chandler into the cage.
Corner Cutting has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Chandler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cutting enables Chandler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cutting manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cutting uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Cutting closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chandler to the mat! Chandler manages to get full guard.

Chandler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cutting stacks Chandler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cutting!
Chandler takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Cutting advances nicely into full mount.
Cutting lands a big shot there that rocks Chandler but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Chandler is desperately trying to improve his position but Cutting has a good base and remains in mount.
Chandler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
BOOM! Cutting connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chandler is in a horrible position here. Cutting smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cutting seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chandler for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chandler sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cutting working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Chandler is looking for a sweep. Cutting is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cutting looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Cutting slips a nice elbow through Chandler's hands, connecting with Chandler's forehead.

Chandler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cutting pulls his head out easily.

Cutting is taking a breather. Chandler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cutting is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Chandler as he works his way to full guard.
Cutting slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cutting keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chandler's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cutting's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

A big strike lands for Cutting! That's really hurt Chandler and he's turned his back - Cutting keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Cutting jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

After the fight, Corner Cutting was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
